Dame Felicity Lott and Graham Johnson’s concert at Wigmore Hall on 6 June 2005 marked the 30th anniversary of their close relationship with the Hall.

Both artists are admired throughout the world and this concert, entitled ‘Fallen Women and Virtuous Wives’ is a truly varied collection of musical memories where, as Johnson says “German lieder jostles with show music, and French mélodie stands next to folksong and cabaret.”

Lott sings a varied programme with polish, wit and style, giving younger singers stern lessons in diction and enunciation
The Observer

Flott-lovers should flock to lay their hands on this very live recital, focusing on Flott as chanteuse
BBC Music Magazine

Felicity Lott’s wicked way with the lighter range of song – folk songs, cabaret, show tunes, French mélodie – accounts for half the triumph of this disc. The rest stems from the pianist Graham Johnson’s inventive programming … this lovely disc is much more than a souvenir
